Bangladesh’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth accelerated to 4.60% in the fourth quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year, up from 2.05% in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, according to provisional estimates by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).
At current prices, the country’s GDP stood at Tk16,11,674 crore in the fourth quarter of FY2025-26, up from Tk14,38,527 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY2024-25.
According to BBS provisional estimates, GDP growth in the first three quarters of FY2025-26 stood at 4.96%, 3.03% and 2.22%, respectively.
In comparison, growth in the first, second and third quarters of FY2024-25 was 3.91%, 3.53% and 4.53%, respectively.
Taking all four quarters together, Bangladesh’s GDP growth at constant prices stood at 3.68% in FY2025-26, according to the provisional estimate.
