Dolly Parton was reportedly diagnosed with cancer almost a year before her death and was seeking treatment overseas.
As per a report by TMZ, the legendary country musician a source told that she “secretly traveled to Germany for an experimental cancer treatment about a year before her death.”
Insiders close to Parton further claimed, “Dolly privately battled cancer during the final year of her life and sought treatment overseas.”
They also reported that Parton traveled all the way to Frankfurt on a private jet for her treatment.
However, the exact treatment is not revealed yet, Parton stayed in the German city for a week.
Moreover, Parton believed at the time that the treatment was effective and helped her regain her strength.
For those unaware the Queen of Country passed away on August 25 at the age of 80 after a brief battle with unknown cancer. She was laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Nashville.
Parton’s nephew, Bryan Seaver, first announced the news via his Instagram on August 25.
Bryan said in the video, “My name is Bryan Seaver, son of Cassie Parton, and I’m representing the Parton and Owens family today announcing the passing of my aunt, Dolly Rebecca Parton Dean, Sister, Sis and Granny to one generation and Gigi to the next.”
