Police have recovered the hanging body of an unidentified young woman from a bathroom inside Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
The body of the woman, approximately 28 years old, was found this morning (5 October), said Habibur Rahman, in-charge of the Dhaka Medical Police Camp.
He said a hospital cleaner discovered the woman’s body inside the bathroom in the morning.
After receiving the information, police immediately went to the scene and found the woman hanging inside the bathroom with a scarf wrapped around her neck, the police officer said, adding that a large amount of blood had fallen from her body.
“The woman’s identity remains unknown, and it has not yet been established whether she is a patient at the hospital, a visitor or someone who has come from outside,” he added.
