Beyoncé’s song “Plastic Off the Sofa” started as a 2017 demo written by Syd, a co-founder of alternative R&B band The Internet, and singer-songwriter Sabrina Claudio. On “Popcast,” Syd describes how the song eventually became a track on Beyoncé’s 2022 album “Renaissance.”
