Tessa Thompson is gushing over costar Adrien Brody calling him “deeply kind.”
In a recent chat with People at the opening night of their new Broadway play, The Fear of 13, the 42-year-old actress shared her experience of working with Brody.
Thompson gushed that working on stage with the Oscar-winning actor was “great” and that she “adores” his acting skills.

As both Thompson and Adrien are making their Broadway debuts, The Listener actress further shared that after working with the Brutalist actor, she felt as if she had known him.
Thompson added, “Maybe it’s just you rehearse so much and you get so close — but it feels like I’ve known him for ages at this point. But it feels like it’s kind of only the beginning for us, which I’m grateful for.”
Written by Lindsey Ferrentino, the play is based on the real-life story of a man named Nick Yarris, wrongfully held in a prison waiting for his execution.
The 38-year-old writer revealed she “pushed” Brody for the play.
On how Brody’s experience was, he told the outlet, “I did a performance, but Tessa and the gang hosted a little get-together afterwards, which was very sweet.”
Expressing his gratitude, Brody added, “I’m very grateful to be doing what I love on that day, and you know it’s a big, big moment in my life. I’m amazed — we’re here on Broadway. It’s pretty exciting.”
It is pertinent to mention that Brody has received an Olivier nomination for his performance in the play during its London run.
