The Rajshahi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has recorded its poorest SSC results in seven years, with the pass rate plunging to 63.67% and a sharp decline in the number of GPA-5 recipients.
The pass rate stood at 77.63% in 2025, while it was 89.26% in 2024.
Professor Ifrat Zerin, controller of Examinations at the Rajshahi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, announced the results today (10 August).
According to board sources, a total of 176,044 students appeared for the SSC and equivalent examinations this year. Of them, 16,113 students secured GPA-5.
Female students once again outperformed their male counterparts in terms of GPA-5 results.
A total of 8,991 female students secured GPA-5, compared with 7,122 male students.
This year, five schools recorded a zero percent pass rate, meaning none of their students passed the examination.
Meanwhile, the number of schools achieving a 100% pass rate fell by more than half to just 35.
