Brad Pitt has remained in the sidelines of his children’s lives since the airplane incident that derailed his marriage to Angelina Jolie. Since then time after time his children have filed to have ‘Pitt’ removed from their last name, and its happened gradually with each of their 18th birthdays.
But now, a source claims he’s done playing second fiddle in his own life and vows to rebuild a relationship with his children. His apparent aim is to take the “mature approach” a report states.
According to RadarOnline a source says, “one thing about Brad that’s stayed constant is that he knows how lucky he’s been, decade after decade. Even on a bad day, it’s still a lot of fun being Brad Pitt. Besides that, he has patience, resilience, and persistence, and he’s not despairing about the situation with his kids.”
What the source also admitted is, “Brad knows he’ll eventually have a place in all of their lives again, because he helped raise them and develop them into the people that they are today. Nobody can take that away from Brad – no matter what’s going on with his legal fight with Angelina.”
Moreover, “Brad’s really changed on his sobriety journey over the last several years. He’ll always pick up the phone if his kids need something from him and he’s not going to change that policy anytime soon.”
Before concluding the source also explained Pitt’s hopes in detail, and said, “even though all six kids and Brad have been through some tough times together, he’ll always be their dad. In the end, he wants them to be as proud of him as they are of Angelina.”
For those unversed with what happened between the exes, it all began when 2016 brought with it divorce news citing “irreconcilable differences” and it later came to light that there was some alleged incident on a private plane where all the kids were present to bare witness a physical altercation between the then-spouses.
Per a FBI report that later dropped, Brad behaved in a drunken, and abusive manner towards her and the kids. Red wine and beer was thrown over the kids and Jolie in this flight, and over thousands of dollars in damages were also done to the plane’s seats while Brad was allegedly in this haze.
One of their children are said to have gotten choked too, and another struck while trying to defend their mother from Brad. As for Jolie they say she was held by the head, shook, and pushed into the bathroom wall.
