Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (18 April) forecasted that rain would occur in different parts of the country in next 24 hours commencing from 9am.
A Met office bulletin said, “Rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna & Chattogram divisions with hails at isolated places.”
It also said weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The highest temperature on Friday was recorded at 36.8 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi and Ishwardi while today’s minimum temperature was 21.5 degrees Celsius in Rangamati.
The sun sets at 6:21pm today and rises at 5:34am tomorrow (17 April) in Dhaka.
