Australian radio host, Kyle Sandilands, revealed that he sensed tensions between Keith Urban and his ex-wife Nicole Kidman days before their split news broke.
The 55-year-old radio host took a moment on the Wednesday episode of his show to talk about how Keith once approached him with a telling clue about his troubling marriage.
“Before it was announced, Keith sent me a text … he was coming out to Australia. He’s a good guy. He sent me a text saying, ‘Bro, when I get there we MUST catch up’,” Kyle shared.
The media personality later realized it was a call for support during his tough time.
“I looked back at that and thought, ‘aha’. I didn’t realise what he was saying then,” Kyle noted.
Kyle then continued to share his thoughts on why the power couple separated out of the blue after 19 years of marriage.
“Keith is a really nice guy and Nicole is super sweet as well. Some of these relationships just come to a natural end.
“When you’re in the spotlight like these two, who are really quite private, they don’t air the dirty laundry.
“They are just two really sweet people. I like them very much. I’m not taking sides.”
Kyle also recalled a previous interaction with Keith and his dismissive attitude on his former radio show, the Kyle & Jackie O show, when asked about his then-wife’s daring roles.
The host recalled, “When Keith came on the show live during a tour on the old radio show, he was quite prickly about that topic.”
He went on to say, “I think I said to him, ‘Mate, I can’t watch your wife’s films. I can’t watch her banging these young hotties – they’re too graphic – and I know her as your wife.’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, next question’. I was quite shocked.”
“I thought, there’s something going on there. But then again, because they were such a great couple, I just dismissed my feelings as stupidity,” Kyle added.
The news came as a shock for fans when Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman filed for divorce in September 2025 and finalized it earlier this year.
The pair are also parents to two daughters, Sunday and Faith.
