Three people died of dengue across the country in the last 24 hours, bringing this year’s death toll to 214, according to a daily update from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
During the same period, 1,432 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals nationwide, said the update issued this afternoon (26 September).
Of the three deaths, two were reported from Dhaka Division, outside the city corporation areas, and one was reported from Dhaka South City Corporation.
Meanwhile, 1,429 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals during the same period, taking the total number of recoveries this year to 66,256.
The cumulative number of dengue cases reported across the country has now reached 71,536.
