7 police inspectors transferred in Ctg, new OCs appointed to 5 police stations

Seven unarmed police inspectors of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) have been transferred and assigned to new posts, with five of them appointed as officers-in-charge (OCs) of different police stations in the city.

CMP Commissioner Hasan Md Showkat Ali issued an office order today (23 August) announcing the transfers and postings.

According to the order, Counter Terrorism Unit Inspector Nur Ahmed has been appointed OC of Karnaphuli Police Station, while CTSB Inspector Mohammad Abdur Rahim has been made OC of Khulshi Police Station.

The current OC of Karnaphuli Police Station, Ikhtiar Uddin, has been transferred to Bayezid Bostami Police Station as its OC, while DB-Port Inspector Mohammad Zainal Abedin Mondol has been appointed OC of Halishahar Police Station.

Meanwhile, the current OC of Khulshi Police Station, Mozammel Haque, has been appointed OC of Panchlaish Police Station.

The current OC of Panchlaish Police Station, Md Zahedul Islam, has been transferred to CTSB as an unarmed police inspector. Inspector Mohammad Ekram Ullah of the same unit has been appointed OC of Sadarghat Police Station.

The order said the transfers and postings were made in the public interest and would take effect immediately. The officers will serve in their new positions until further orders.
