Zara Larsson recently reminisced about how it felt when she got intimate with her pal’s boyfriend.
Larsson sat with Alex Cooper for an episode of her podcast Call Her Daddy, aired on Wednesday, April 22, where she reflected on her musical journey, especially her teenage years.
While discussing different topics, they started talking about relationships, where the 28-year-old Swedish singer and songwriter, who was “messy as a teenager,” revealed that she kissed her best friend’s boyfriend at the age of 16 during a New Year’s Eve party.
The Lush Life songstress said, “I just kissed him back because I was messy like that. And I was 16 and really drunk.”
Larsson added, “The f***** up thing about this though, was that the girl whose [house] we had had the party at, she filmed this, and I didn’t know. So, before I got the chance to tell my friend what happened the next day, she had already got the video sent to her.”
According to the Swoon star, her friend neither was “interested” nor “in love” with the guy she got intimate with but told her that what she did was “weird” as well as an “unforgivable mistake that happened.”
“But obviously seeing [the video], she just cut me off, and all my friends just cut me off, and I was just like a floating piece of trash in the universe,” she laughingly said.
It is pertinent to mention that Zara Larsson, who has been in a relationship with Swedish dancer Lamin Holmén since 2020, confessed that it was the moment from where she drew inspiration for the original version of the Midnight Sun song.
