A python was rescued after a group of wild boars attacked it on the Chattogram University campus yesterday afternoon (1 August).
The incident took place around 4pm near the university’s South Campus area.
According to university authorities, the wild boars surrounded the python and began biting it.
Assistant Proctor Nurul Hamid Kanan witnessed the incident from a distance, recorded a video and alerted the university’s security personnel.
The security team later rushed to the spot and rescued the snake.
Kanan told The Business Standard that the python often came to the university’s Block-2 area in search of food.
“Today, it suddenly attacked a wild boar piglet. The other boars then turned on the snake and started biting it. After I informed the security personnel, they came and rescued the python,” he said.
