Tom Brady was reportedly in a relationship with Joan Smalls before dating supermodel Candice Swanepoel.
“Joan and Tom were seeing each other on and off for about a year between 2023 and 2024. It was never anything super serious, but they were hooking up for a while and still kept in touch afterward,” an insider told Us Weekly on Wednesday.
“Candice and Joan had been best friends for years. They basically came up together in the modeling world and through Victoria’s Secret, so they had a really close bond and a long history together,” the source continued.
According to the confidant, Joan was “completely blindsided” by Candice and Tom’s romance.
“To her, it was just the ultimate breaking of girl code,” a tipster added.
Some fans have raised questions about the nature of the friendship between Candice and Joan, as they have not been seen together over the past few weeks, nor has any photograph of them together surfaced.
Recently, the former pals appeared on the runway at the ‘Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show’ held on October 18, but fans immediately noticed that they weren’t photographed together.
For those unaware, Tom is currently dating Candice.
