A Dhaka court today (16 July) granted bail to Salman F Rahman, former industry and investment adviser to ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and vice-chairman of Beximco Group, in a cheque dishonour case involving Tk112 crore.
The order was issued by Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Saifatullah after a hearing held earlier in the day.
The court granted bail upon a bond of Tk1,000.
Defence lawyer Mohaddesul Amin confirmed the development to The Business Standard.
The case was filed over allegations related to a Tk112 crore cheque dishonour. Further details of the case proceedings were not immediately available.
