Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (26 September) forecasted rain in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing from 9am.
According to a Met office bulletin issued this morning, “Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka,Khulna divisions and at one or two places over Barishal, Mymensingh, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions.”
Besides, it said, moderately heavy falls may occur at places over the country.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country.
The highest temperature yesterday was recorded at 35.4 degrees Celsius in Srimangal, while today’s minimum temperature was 22.6 degrees Celsius in Bandarban.
In the last 24 hours (till 06am today), the highest 36 millimetre rainfall occurred in Sreemangal.
