Chattogram faces heavy downpours while light to moderate thundershowers and gusty winds are expected across Bangladesh over the next 24 hours.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing from 9am today (15 SEptember), said the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
According to a Met Office bulletin issued this morning, “Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Chattogram division; at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Khulna and Barishal divisions.”
Besides, moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may also occur over Chattogram division, it said.
Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged, while night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
The highest temperature on yesterday (14 September) was recorded at 37 degrees Celsius in Netrokona, while the lowest temperature today was 24.5 degrees Celsius in Rajarhat.
In the last 24 hours till 6am today, the highest rainfall of 20 millimetres was recorded in Dhaka.
The sun sets at 6:02pm today and rises at 5:45am tomorrow in Dhaka.
