Prime Minister Tarique Rahman attended a programme marking Janmashtami, where he exchanged greetings with prominent members of the Hindu community and distributed honorariums among priests and temple caretakers.
He joined the programme at 10am today (3 September), at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital.
The prime minister walked from his office at the Bangladesh Secretariat to the Osmani Memorial Auditorium to attend the Janmashtami programme.
