A 45-year-old man, who suffered burn injuries in a fire at a toy factory in Keraniganj yesterday (26 October), died at National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (NIBPS) today, raising the death toll from the incident to two.
The deceased was identified as Manik.
Dr Sultan Mahmud Shikder, resident medical officer of NIBPS, said Manik breathed his last around 12:30am while undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the hospital.
Yesterday, Fire Service and Civil Defence received the report of the fire at Aman Plastic Factory in Keraniganj’s Narikelbagh area around 12:25pm. Later around 2pm, the firefighters managed to bring the fire under control.
