The July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum will open to the public from 6 August, a day after its official inauguration by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury announced yesterday (4 August).
The museum will be inaugurated at 9am today (5 August). The opening day has been reserved exclusively for the families of those killed during the July Mass Uprising, the minister told reporters at the Secretariat.
Journalists will be allowed to tour the museum following the inauguration ceremony.
To manage visitor flow and prevent overcrowding, the authorities have introduced a time-slot-based entry system. Visitors must book their preferred entry slots online through the July 36 website before visiting.
Users will be required to register on the platform, reserve a time slot, and purchase tickets online.
The museum has been established to preserve the memory and legacy of the July Mass Uprising.
Entry tickets have been priced at Tk50 for adults and Tk25 for children, according to the cultural affairs minister.
