State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Rashiduzzaman Millat today (7 August) said the government is working relentlessly to materialize the electoral pledges of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The government is planning to introduce mid-day meal programme to bring all children to school so that they could not prey on negligence, he said while speaking as chief guest at a meeting marking inaugural of a new building of Bakshiganj Upazila Parishad auditorium.
About increasing social security, he said distribution of family card and farmer card has begun.” We also began distribution of allowance to Imams and Khdems of mosques and in phases all Imams and Khatib of mosques will come under the allowance,” he added
Later on, the State Minister distributed corrugated tin and cheque among 58 poor families and dried foods among 150 disaster hit families.
Zilla Parishad Administrator Md Sirazul Haque , Upazila BNP President Manik Saudagar and General Secretary Zahidul Islam Prince, Poura BNP President Anisuzzaman Gama and Secretary Shakil Talukdar spoke, among others, at the meeting.
Bakshiganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Murd Hossain presided over the meeting.
