The government is planning to introduce a smart, integrated utility system in Dhaka to reduce the repeated digging of roads for installing and repairing water, electricity, gas and other service lines, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed said today (15 September).
He disclosed the plan while speaking to journalists after a coordination meeting with representatives of relevant ministries, divisions, authorities and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated development work across Dhaka city and its surrounding areas.
The meeting was held in the conference room of the Ministry of Home Affairs at the Secretariat, with Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed in the chair.
