Gladys Knight sparked health concerns.
According to Radar Online, Gladys has taken a step back from live performances as health concerns resurfaces which is sparking questions about whether she was being forced to perform.
As she shared a public statement on her Instagram account on August 27, saying that she is looking forward to a “new era.”
“After much soul-searching, I’ve decided that I will be easing into fewer performances while focusing on transitioning into the next stage of my career and life moving forward.”
“I’ll be spending more time on projects with my husband and visiting with my grandbabies, and I am looking forward to this new era,” Gladys wrote.
Reflecting on her legacy, Gladys took a moment to thank her fans, “I’d like to take a moment, in advance, to thank all my fans over these last three quarters of a century for making a little girl’s dream come true and supporting her every step of the way.”
“I am immensely grateful to all of you and send my eternal love back to you. I hope to see your smiling faces out and about and on the road. God bless all of you and hope to see you soon,” the singer further added.
However, the concerns emerged when the veteran singer appeared puzzled and exhausted onstage.
But, following the matter Gladys’s husband, William McDowell who is also her manager, said, “No one is ever gonna make me say, ‘My wife is well,’ but all she wants to do is sing.”
On the other hand, Gladys has also discussed the allegations with The New York Post, stating that her “health and performances have been misrepresented.”
It is pertinent to mention here that Gladys’ recent health related incidents have sparked rumors about the possibility of dementia, however it is not confirmed by the singer or her representatives.
