The government has appointed new deputy commissioners (DCs) to four districts.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification today (29 September) making the appointments in Tangail, Nilphamari, Patuakhali and Pirojpur.
Md Humayun Kabir, deputy secretary of the Finance Division, has been appointed DC of Nilphamari, while Chowdhury Ashraful, also a deputy secretary of the division, has been appointed DC of Patuakhali.
Md Golam Robbani, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, has been made DC of Pirojpur, while Abu Sayied, the current DC of Pirojpur, has been transferred to Tangail as DC.
Meanwhile, Nilphamari DC Mohammad Nairuzzaman has been transferred to the Ministry of Social Welfare, Tangail DC Sharifa Haque to the Ministry of Home Affairs and Patuakhali DC Dr Mohammad Shaheed Hossain Chowdhury to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change all as joint secretary.
