A fire broke out at a cotton warehouse adjacent to the railway line on the eastern side of Shuklal Hat Bazar area in Chattogram’s Sitakunda upazila.
The incident occurred this morning (23 April).
According to the Sitakunda Fire Service and Civil Defence control room, units of the Fire Service rushed to the spot and started efforts to bring the blaze under control after receiving information of the fire at 10:31am.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damages could not be determined immediately. Fire Service operations to bring the blaze under control are currently ongoing.
