Prime Minister’s Adviser and spokesperson of the Prime Minister’s Office Mahdi Amin has urged Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi to ensure that fugitive allies of fascism and convicted criminals staying in India cannot make attempts to create instability in Bangladesh.
He made the remarks during a courtesy meeting with the Indian high commissioner at the Prime Minister’s Office this morning (17 September).
Deputy High Commissioner Pawan Badhe was also present at the meeting.
The two sides discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations and enhance people-to-people contacts between Bangladesh and India.
The meeting also stressed the need to strengthen democratic environments and values in both countries. Both sides agreed to work towards elevating bilateral ties to a sustainable and dignified level based on mutual respect, equality, fairness and justice.
They also held constructive discussions on resolving existing issues and challenges through dialogue and cooperation.
During discussions on the broader framework of bilateral relations, the two sides emphasised strengthening cooperation in education, healthcare, sports, culture and tourism.
They also discussed expanding bilateral business, trade and investment.
Highlighting the potential of information technology and innovation, both sides agreed to enhance cooperation in promising areas, including science and technology.
