Sheikh Zahidul Islam has been appointed as the deputy commissioner (DC) of the Ramna Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
The appointment was made through an office order signed by DMP Acting Commissioner SN Md Nazrul Islam today (16 May).
Under the same order, DMP DC Mina Mahmuda was transferred to the Traffic Admin (Planning and Research) division of the DMP.
Earlier on 5 May, former Ramna Division DC Masud Alam was transferred as superintendent of police (SP) of Chattogram district. On the same day, Nilphamari SP Sheikh Zahidul Islam was transferred to the DMP as a DC. He was assigned to the Ramna Division today.
