Three dengue patients died and 1,097 new patients were hospitalised across Bangladesh in the 24 hours until 8:00am today (30 August), according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The information was disclosed in a press release issued by the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the DGHS.
Of the three deaths reported during the period, one was from Dhaka South City Corporation, one from Chattogram Division and one from Khulna Division.
With the latest fatalities, the number of dengue-related deaths in the country this year has risen to 93.
Meanwhile, 793 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries this year to 32,188.
The total number of dengue cases reported in Bangladesh this year has reached 34,683, according to the DGHS.
