Police today (19 May) recovered the body of a security guard working at the Indian Assistant High Commission office in Chattogram.
Confirming the matter, Khulshi Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Nazrul Islam said police went to the office premises this afternoon after receiving information that a body was lying inside the compound.
The body was later recovered and sent to the morgue at Chattogram Medical College Hospital for an autopsy, he added.
The police official said the deceased was employed as an assistant security guard at the Indian Assistant High Commission office.
“We could not immediately confirm the victim’s name or address. However, according to locals, the deceased was identified as Naren Dhar, 38,” he said.
“No injury marks were found on the body. The exact cause of death cannot be determined without an autopsy,” Nazrul added.
