The former Hollywood couple, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is back under public scrutiny.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star’s upcoming film, Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol, is set to release on November 13, 2026, in which he will be seen playing the character of a wealthy but miserable man, Ebenezer Scrooge.
However, Radar Online revealed that the actor’s ex-wife, Amber Heard, is not happy with his renewed success because it brings back painful memories from the past when they were both involved in a legal battle following Heard’s defeat in the defamation lawsuit.
“She’s reinvented herself, but she still has terrible PTSD from what happened,” a source revealed to the outlet.
“She was totally destroyed by this experience and will never be the same, so it’s very hard to see any mention of him,” they added
Noting, “Now that he has this big movie coming out, he’s going to be everywhere. It’s upsetting just to see his name because she just wants to forget about the hell he put her through.”
“The fact that he’s back to being this studio darling, while she feels as though she’s been essentially exiled, is beyond infuriating,” they further added.
Moreover, insiders revealed that the Aquaman star did not expect this from Hollywood, especially “after Hollywood made such a big deal about supporting women.”
Adding, “She says the hypocrisy sickens her and depresses her in equal measure. She’s doing her best to block everything out and not let her anger and sense of injustice consume her.”
It is pertinent to mention that the former couple first met on the set of The Rum Diary in 2009 and were later married in 2015, which lasted almost 15 months before ending in a court battle.
