Adverse weather conditions disrupted flight operations at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram today (29 April), leading to diversions and cancellations, airport officials said.
According to a press release, a cargo flight operated by Sichuan Airlines was diverted to Chattogram due to adverse weather en route. The Chengdu–Dhaka flight (CSC-9851) landed at 10:55am and later departed for Dhaka at 6:45pm after conditions improved.
A domestic flight of US-Bangla Airlines on the Dhaka–Chattogram route (BS-101) was also affected. The aircraft was initially diverted to Cox’s Bazar before landing in Chattogram at 6:55pm.
Meanwhile, a return flight on the Dhaka-Chattogram-Dhaka route operated by Biman Bangladesh Airlines (BG-615/616) was cancelled due to the inclement weather.
