Bangladesh Navy has seized about 1 lakh pieces of Yaba tablets and 5kg crystal meth known as “ice” worth around Tk30 crore in total in a special drive in Teknaf.
The drive was conducted today (4 May) at a brick kiln in the Alikhali area under Hnila union of Teknaf upazila.
During the drive, law enforcement officials also seized two foreign pistols, two magazines, and four rounds of ammunition from the site.
A suspect, identified as Narul Kabir, was detained at the scene. Kabir is reportedly listed in multiple arrest warrants related to both weapons and narcotics cases.
The seized drugs, firearms, and ammunition, along with the detained suspect, have been handed over to Teknaf police station for further legal proceedings.
