Trade activities through Sonamasjid land port will remain suspended for 10 days from 18 March to 27 March on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Ruhul Amin, secretary of the C&F Agents Association of Sonamasjid land port, said travel for passengers holding valid passports will continue as usual.
After the holiday, trade operations will resume at the port from the morning of 28 March.
Ruhul Amin said loading and unloading of goods already at the port will continue during the holiday period.
He said India’s Mahadipur land port customs and related associations have been officially notified about the temporary suspension.
