The Europe Visa Seekers Unity Council has demanded that the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) resume manpower clearance for Bangladeshi workers holding valid visas for Serbia, North Macedonia and Moldova, saying delays threaten their jobs abroad.
The group announced its six-point demand at a press conference held at the Maulana Akram Khan Hall of the National Press Club today (24 September).
“We are not demanding any irregular or illegal process. We want those who have obtained valid visas and secured overseas jobs to be allowed to travel without unnecessary barriers,” said coordinator Md Tuhin.
The council urged the authorities to resolve the complications and resume manpower clearance, otherwise, it warned of a movement.
