Prince Harry is not happy as King Charles has labelled him a private citizen
The Duke of Sussex, who has recently moved back to the UK alongside Meghan Markle and their two children, is upset with his Majesty’s unprecedented letter to government officials and stakeholders.
In his letter, King Charles notified that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain private citizen in England and not working Royals.
A source has now told The Telegraph : “The duke is understood to have taken particular issue with the notion that the couple were to be treated as private citizens. If that were the case, it was claimed, such formal guidance would not be required.
“The Sussexes prefer the term ‘public figures’, and would have liked an acknowledgement that, on a personal level, they remained members of the Royal Family, despite no longer receiving public funding,” he noted.
Prince Harry left the Royal Family back in 2020 alongside wife Meghan Markle and son, Prince Archie. The couple later accused the Royal Family of showcasing racism towards their son and publicly shared their grievances on television. Harry and Meghan now live in California, where they also welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
