Norwegian Ambassador to Bangladesh Håkon Arald Gulbrandsen today (11 August) met with State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Sultan Salauddin Tuku at his ministry’s conference room at the Secretariat.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed various issues related to fisheries and marine resource management, fish production, research and technology exchange and strengthening mutual cooperation in the fisheries sector.
The state minister highlighted the longstanding friendly relations between Bangladesh and Norway and said Norway’s experience in sustainable fisheries resource management, marine fisheries, research and the use of modern technologies is highly important for Bangladesh.
He said there are ample opportunities to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries in these areas.
Norwegian Ambassador Håkon Arald Gulbrandsen highlighted the potential of Bangladesh’s fisheries sector and expressed interest in expanding cooperation through sustainable fisheries resource management, research, technology transfer, and knowledge exchange.
At the meeting, both sides expressed optimism about further expanding future areas of cooperation through mutual collaboration and the exchange of knowledge and experience in the fisheries sector.
