Maren Morris has become emotional as she has completed a major milestone in her music career.
While conversing with PEOPLE magazine, the 36-year-old American singer-songwriter reminisced about how she started her musical journey in 2016, marking ten years in the industry.
Morris told the outlet, “My first record, Hero, turned 10 this past June, so we’ve been doing a string of shows for an anniversary tour for it. We are ending the run in a couple of weeks at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.”
“I have played some really meaningful shows there over the last 10 years, and playing my song ‘My Church’ at the Ryman, which is famously known as ‘the Mother Church of Country Music,’ will feel really emotional,” the Chasing After You crooner quipped.
For those unaware, Morris released her debut album titled Hero on June 3, 2016, years after she independently dropped her self-funded album Walk On in 2004.
She then went on to release Girl in 2019, Humble Quest in 2022, and Dreamsicle in 2025.
It is pertinent to mention that Maren Morris has received several awards, such as a Grammy, five from the Academy of Country Music, the Country Music Association Awards, Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, and the Billboard Music Awards.
