BRAC Bank PLC has reported a stellar financial performance for the first half of 2026, with its consolidated net profit after tax jumping by 57% year-on-year to reach Tk1,423 crore.
The leading private sector lender’s earnings per share (EPS) for the January–June period stood at Tk5.07, according to the unaudited financial statements approved at a board meeting held on Tuesday.
The bank’s growth was particularly robust in the second quarter (April-June) of 2026.
During this three-month period, consolidated net profit skyrocketed by 73% to settle at Tk727.74 crore, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. The EPS for the second quarter alone was recorded at Tk2.55.
