A fire broke out at the cargo village complex of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka late tonight (5 June).
Two firefighting units rushed to the scene and brought the blaze under control within 14 minutes, confirmed Fire Service Control Room Duty Officer Rashed Bin Khalid.
According to the Fire Service, the fire was reported near Gate No 9 of the cargo village at 11:24pm.
Two airport-based firefighting units responded immediately and managed to control the fire by 11:38pm.
The cause of the fire and the extent of damages could not be immediately determined.
Last year, on 18 October, a major fire broke out at the airport’s cargo village.
