The government has transferred four more Superintendents of Police (SPs) as part of an ongoing reshuffle within the Bangladesh Police.
The transfers were confirmed today (22 April) by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The order signed by Deputy Secretary Toufique Ahmed of the Police-1 Branch was issued on behalf of the President.
According to the notice, Kishoreganj SP Dr S M Farhad Hossain has been transferred to the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).
Replacing him, Md Mizanur Rahman, currently serving as Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), has been appointed as the new SP of Kishoreganj.
In another change, Rangpur SP Md Marufat Hossain has been transferred to the Tourist Police. His position will be filled by Md Mozammel Haque, an SP from the Armed Police Battalion.
The latest reshuffle comes just a day after a similar move, when six officers of SP rank were reassigned.
