Two more Bangladeshi expatriates were allegedly killed in an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon last night (11 May), although the Bangladesh Embassy in Beirut said it could not yet confirm the deaths due to difficulties in identifying the bodies.
According to a press release, various sources reported that Sree Shuvo Kumar Das, son of Suronjon and Shika from Sreepotipur, Kalaroa, Murarikati in Satkhira, and Karim Miah, son of Kazam Ali and Moyna Begum from Haran Khola, Dulalpur in Shibpur, Narsingdi, died in an Israeli drone strike at their residence in the Mayfadoun area of Nabatieh in southern Lebanon.
However, the embassy said the deaths could not yet be confirmed because the bodies had not been identified.
It added that the embassy remains in continuous contact with local authorities regarding the matter.
