The government has appointed two Bangladesh Police deputy inspector generals (DIGs) as directors of the National Security Intelligence (NSI).
Rangpur Range DIG Aminul Islam and Special Branch (SB) DIG Dr Mohammad Abdul Kader have been appointed to the posts at the Prime Minister’s Office, according to a notification issued today (23 August).
The notification, signed by Mohammad Nur-e-Alam, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration’s Deputation-1 branch, was issued on the order of the President.
The two officials have been transferred and appointed to the NSI on deputation, it said.
The appointments will take effect immediately in the public interest, according to the notification.
