Virginia Politician Justin Fairfax Kills Wife and Self, According To Police
Justin Fairfax, a former lieutenant governor of Virginia, fatally shot his wife, Cerina Fairfax, and then killed himself at their home in Annandale, Va., shortly after midnight on Thursday, according to the county police. Mr. Fairfax had been a rising star in the state before he was accused of sexual assault by two women in 2019. Fairfax denied the allegations, finished his term and later ran unsuccessfully for governor.

Former Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax shot and killed his wife inside of their home, and then shot and killed himself. This has been an ongoing domestic dispute surrounding what seems to be a complicated or messy divorce, from what I understand at this early stage. Lieutenant, former Lieutenant Governor Fairfax was recently served some paperwork associated with an upcoming court proceeding. That apparently led to this incident last night. Both of their children, teenagers, were in the House when it happened. So that’s horrible news for the family. Certainly a traumatic event for those children to live through.
