Jenna Dewan is giving a warm welcome to her pro Dancing With the Stars partner Val Chmerkovskiy after one week suspension.
The American actress and dancer took to her Instagram and reposted a clip with Val and shared some insights into their upcoming dance performance.
“Hi everybody, here we are. We are here for ‘Halloween Horror Movie Night’ we are doing an Argentine tango to the song ‘Uninvited’ it’s inspired by the movie 28 Weeks Later,” she said in the video originally posted on the DWTS’s official Instagram account.
While Jenna announces Val’s return, the dance pro can be seen posing holding the camera and flashing two peace signs.
He then began wiping his forehead and nose with his hands, which led to him jumping in at the end of this video with, “Why am I so oily?”
Jenna laughed at Val’s remark before the video was cut out.
For those unversed, the DWTS team announced the 40-year-old pro dancer’s suspension ahead of the week six episode after he made a controversial remark referencing Will Smith’s infamous Oscar slap in response to criticism that judge Carrie Ann Inaba gave his wife, Jenna Johnson, in a previous episode.
After the suspension Val publicly apologized for his remark in a statement shared with Page Six.
He admitted that it was his “instinct” to “defend” his wife Jenna Johnson following Judge Inaba’s harsh criticism of her performance.
And to cover Val’s place, Alan Bersten, who was eliminated in a previous episode of the show, stepped in as Jenna’s dancing partner.
