Visiting US Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor today (01 August) paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The meeting began at 9:30am at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon, said PM’s Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on Bangladesh-US bilateral relations, expanding trade and investment, regional cooperation, and other issues of mutual interest.
The US Special Envoy for South and Central Asia arrived in Dhaka on Thursday afternoon on a three-day visit.
Sergio met Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman on Thursday evening and visited the Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar yesterday (31 July).
