Tom Cruise, a global star, has been widely praised for many things, but there’s also a rumour about him.
That is, he is extremely intense on set and even warned his co-stars about it before shooting.
Now the superstar said that is true.
However, being intense does not automatically mean he is abusive on the filming set.
Instead, he told GQ, “When I’m working with people, I’m not afraid to, as I’m acting, to look foolish, to do it.”
Cruise continued, “It’s like, ‘That’s not what this is about. It’s finding our tone, finding these tools together and having an experience.'”
Then, directly, the star addressed the rumours, saying, “And look, I work hard, and people that work with me, they know.”
“I expect a lot, and I’m upfront about it. It’s like, ‘The rumours are true. And do you want this? ’”
“I’m like, ‘Trust me, the rumours are true. I’ll be here before you. What experience do you want?’” he said.
A glimpse into Cruise’s sincerity in his work came during the height of the pandemic in 2021, when he blasted some crew members on the set of Mission Impossible 7 for breaching coronavirus protocols.
