The Election Commission (EC) will open registration for postal voting in the Thakurgaon-1 by-election on 27 September, with eligible voters able to register until 8 October.
The commission announced the schedule in a notice issued today (23 September).
Government officials and employees, as well as people assigned election-related duties, who wish to vote by post must register through the Postal Vote BD app, according to the notice.
The notice was signed by Md Abdul Momin Sarker, director of the Public Relations Division of the Election Commission Secretariat.
The Thakurgaon-1 by-election is scheduled for 29 October.
