More than 831,000 Texans participated in early voting in the Republican primary runoff, either through early in-person voting or by mail. That was well above the roughly 468,000 who voted early in 2022, the last time Texas had statewide primary runoffs. That year, ballots were about evenly split between those cast early and those cast on Election Day.
