The officer-in-charges (OCs) of Tejgaon and Paltan Model police stations under Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have been withdrawn and attached to the DMP headquarters.
DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed signed an order today (22 August) ordering their withdrawal and attachment to headquarters.
The officers are Tejgaon Police Station OC Kyashainu Marma and Paltan Model Police Station OC Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Khan.
The order said the withdrawal and attachment would take effect from Saturday and were made for administrative reasons.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed made a surprise visit to Tejgaon Police Station on Saturday afternoon.
Inspector General of Police Ali Hossain Fakir and DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed accompanied him during the visit.
