Taylor Frankie Paul’s ex-husband Tate Paul has requested court for temporary restraining order against the TV personality and has asked for sole custody of their kids.
As per a report by People, On Tuesday, June 30, Tate 34, who shares eight-year-old daughter Indy and six-year-old son Ocean with the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, filed for temporary restraining order against Taylor in a Utah court.
Along with the request for a restraining order and change in custody agreement, Tate has also filed a petition to modify other terms of their 2022 divorce.
A source told TMZ that Tate took the move after Taylor’s ex Dakota Mortensen allegedly told Tate “lies about her.”
They continued, “She feels Dakota will do anything to hurt her … including using the children, but she is a survivor.”
Moreover, People reported on Tuesday that Taylor has “checked into” a rehab “upon the recommendation of her doctor” and that the TV personality is also “committed to getting better.”
Tate’s filing came as a surprise because back in June he commented that his and Taylor’s co-parenting relationship had been “peaceful” over the past years.
Another source at the same time told People that Taylor and Tate, “have always been a strong team.”
Following tumultuous months amid Taylor and Dakota’s alleged domestic violence case, which had been dismissed by authorities, Taylor and Tate faced complication in their co-parenting relationship still they were reportedly trying best to navigate it.
“She’s committed to maintaining a strong relationship with him and tackling the challenges that have arisen,” the tattler shared at the time.
